“The highest heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth He has given to mankind.” — Psalm 115:16
Oh, that the Son will be vindicated!
Oh, that His rightful place be given Him, for the government will be upon His shoulders.
The dominion of the earth was given to the first Adam. He failed and handed the earth over to Satan. Jesus—the perfect Man, the last Adam—has been given all authority in the earth.
He has been given all authority in the earth because of His perfection as Man, defeating Satan as a Man and being raised up to the right hand of God to represent those who believe in Him. He has sent His Holy Spirit to guide us into victory. He is bringing forth a host of joint heirs who reign with Him on the earth (Romans 5:17–21).
The Holy Spirit inspires us to believe for the salvation of the nations and the restoration of the earth. The Holy Spirit inspires us to petition the Father and to declare Satan put under the feet of Jesus.
Psalm 2:8
“Ask Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance,
the ends of the earth Your possession.”
There is a divine partnership that the Father has ordained for the transformation of the earth, wherein the sons of God bring needs before the Father in prayer. We do not come as beggars, or as those on the outside, or as those who are not heard. We come as those who have been given an inheritance to guard, govern, and guide.
That inheritance is the earth. The earth is under our jurisdiction as full partners with the perfect Man.
Romans 8:20
For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the One who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.
