Daniel Fast Day 11

Day 11

FASTING INSPIRATION

Fasting with prayer = captives set free and souls saved

We want to posture our hearts and agreement with Father for the harvest that is now beginning and has begun.  Prayer is central to bringing back those bound by the enemy.

“[Is] not this the fast that I have chosen to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?” -Isaiah 58:6

Abraham asked God to not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah.

Abraham came near and said, “Will You indeed sweep away the righteous with the wicked? Suppose there are fifty righteous within the city; will You indeed sweep it away and not spare the place for the sake of the fifty righteous who are in it?  Far be it from You to do such a thing, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous and the wicked are treated alike. Far be it from You! –Genesis 18:23-25

Intercessors don’t have a heart of hatred, bitterness, or destruction. They plead for God’s compassion to be extended and salvation to come. Moses interceded when the children of Israel committed the great sin of idolatry. He prayed that God would forgive them; if not, he asked for God to blot him out of His book.

Then Moses returned to the Lord, and said, “Alas, this people has committed a great sin, and they have made a  god of gold for themselves. But now, if You will, forgive their sin—and if not, please blot me out from Your book which You have written!” -Exodus 32:31

That is courageous intercession! Jeremiah prayed, “Oh! That my head were waters, And my eyes a fountain of tears, That I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!” (Jeremiah 9:1) What love Jeremiah had for his people!  This is the same love Jesus has for the lost and the same love that we are called to walk in.

PRAYER EMPHASIS:

Make a list of a few people you can focus on in prayer during 2022.  Seek the Lord on their behalf and pray them into salvation.  Break the powers of darkness over them and do the work of an intercessor.

STRATEGIZE – FOCUS MY MIND:

Today we continue with renewing our mind from the book of Acts.  Read Acts 14-16.  Take notes as you read the book of Acts, looking for points that strengthen your faith.
